Stars of Paradise ‘Ohana Practices Sustainable Tourism

In an ongoing effort to practice sustainable tourism, Stars of Paradise continues its commitment to caring for Hawaii’s environment whether on land or at sea. For the past 60 years, Star of Honolulu Cruises & Events and Royal Star Hawaii have been delivering a high-quality “Experience of Aloha” aboard Hawaii’s largest dinner cruises and tours.

• The Star of Honolulu uses reusable glassware and utensils, and most recently eliminated single-use plastic straws on all cruises.
• The eco-friendly Dolphin Star vessel minimizes emissions with EPA compliant main engines and operates at a cruising speed shown by recent NOAA studies to be safe for marine mammals. It was also built without generators to reduce carbon emissions.
• Our sister transportation company, Royal Star Hawaii, also features vehicles with green hybrid engines and incentivizes drivers with monthly fuel conservation awards.
